about

"From This Cat's Purrspective" is a 6 track album from the secret vault of An Army Of Marmots and it is dedicated to a good friend of mine, a cat named Fluff, who is featured on the cover. Fluff and I since 2015 have done an annual photo together where I put a fresh pumpkin over my head and I hold him in my arms. It is known to my friends and family as the annual "Pumpkinhead & Fluff" photo. This album was released the same weekend of which the 6th annual photo was taken in Peebles, SK (Dec. 12th, 2020), 6 tracks representing 6 years of pumpkin and kitty madness! Truly this small collection of songs is a pure example of the experimental and diverse sound of An Army Of Marmots and there is even a concept behind the album that took inspiration from several things - including the video game Castle Crashers. One simple rule always remained since this project began in 2010, no boundaries... and I suppose that I've always made an effort through my imagination to create an adventure with each track, told through sound and song titles. It's been an interesting 10 years of experimentation, with that said this may be my last offering from An Army Of Marmots and if so I'm very happy with "Farewell Tapes" (released earlier this year) and this album as the final chapters, or one big chapter. Both collections of songs mean so much to me, and I also love Fluff the cat. However, I've given it a lot of back and forth thought all year (disregard anything I said about the end of An Army Of Marmots prior to this if you saw), I've decided the project will remain active if someday I wish to write some more - An Army Of Marmots has been my longest and most important music project, it's a huge part of my life.

The album is optionally free to download at $0.00, my gift to folks that are hurting financially, especially this year due to Covid. But there is the option to put in any amount of your choosing if you can and would like to purchase, this is a way to support me as an artist, and I try to personally thank everyone that buys my music as it means so much to me. Either way, I will ensure Fluff gets lots of pets!
